Casey, I know you just want to be left alone (in the swath of destruction you've left behind)... but if you are trying to reinvent your story for an upcoming defense, you have a little problem....or two...

Remember those tapes that LossMIT posted? You know your sweet info product (damn, you only needed to sell 170k of them to be a millionaire) tapes?

Well, you can't just erase those now... you remember them right? Let me point you towards a little nugget that sticks out in my mind as one of those pesky little truths that will punch holes in this approach.

I don't remember the specifics of which file and what time it was uttered... but I think it was your New Mexico property... you were required to write a letter certifying your intent to live there... your entrepreneury-sense was tingling... you thought it was wrong in your gut to LIE on this, so you did your due diligence and took it to an unnamed "expert" for an opininon.

I believe this expert confirmed your worse fears that you were about to commit a crime... so at that moment, when you knew it was a lie... and a crime... what did you do? Something to the effect of.... "ehhhh, i'll worry about that later."

Welcome to later, kid.

The fracturing of the Caseyverse has, I think, burned out or turned away some of the more intelligent and funny commentary on the whole mess... the anti-LossMIT crew that has emerged at ch.c really has just about ended this thing for me.

For the record i'm a big Duane and Mark supporter. For whatever reason, i've bought their sides of the story. It's funny that in an Internet "happening" like this, you get some really nutty conspiracy theories. I guess i'll never understand the people who live to be trolls.

There was a nice comment over at EN today that about sums up my position on LossMIT:

C'mon now people, maybe LMP is not your first choice for the avenger, but give the man a little credit for being the guy who put on the cape. Casey's has had this coming for quite a while now, personally, I don't have an ounce of sympathy for him. Empathy , yes, what he's going through stinks big time, but sympathy for it?? He's the guy that cajoles and connives his way through life, telling everyone what he thinks they want to hear, and then, when he doesn't uphold his end of the bargain, wonders why folks line up to kick him in the behind. Of course, this is after months and months of the same people trying to help him......

I think when it comes to Casey, "mean" is a relative term. IMO, I don't believe that he is mean at his core, but I do believe that he's so self-centered that he'll throw anyone under the bus to get the shiny thing. Last straw for this mid-western girl??? The statements that all he wanted was his wife back, he'd do anything to get her back, the 20k was so vitally important to the cause, he wanted to pay off some of her debt, show her he was serious. Once he discovered that he couldn't buy his way back into her good graces with 20k, it became, "I need the money for MY defense." Not an altruistic bone in that boys body. No turnaround, no new ways, just the same old ME FIRST mentality. Now, he seems to believe that he should just be able to go about his business without paying any kind of price for all of the damage he's done. If you've lost a little money on him, if you're feelings have been hurt, if he's defamed you or offended you, it's all good, he really didn't mean it, and you really should just get over it.....PUHLEEESSSEE. I hope LMP gets all he's looking for and more...I hope Galina never looks back and I really hope that Casey does a wee bit of time in the pokey!

Yes there is an FBI investigation as well. I just learned about it yesterday after I made the decision to shut everything down.

I’m not shutting down because of the FBI thing. The agent told me they don’t care if I keep blogging since they already have all the evidence they need, including the entire blog, loan documents, etc.

I just want to be careful what I say before I can find a criminal defense attorney and make sure I’m not doing anything stupid.

It kind of sucks that right when I decided to do the right thing now the law is after me too. But I guess we all knew this might happen. So its not a big surprise now.

I’ll just have to take responsibility and deal with it the best way I can.

I think everyone's been feeling this whole thing getting close to wrapping up... we've had a few dead cat bounces in the past month, but after a slight, sweet bounce, it seems to have all come undone tonight.

Casey plowed ahead with his Fraudcast intending to talk about his trip, the "book" and selling the blog.

His confidence grew after the first few calls, he was clearly giddy dropping as many hater-baits as he could. He doesn't quite get that everyone's pretty much immune to his nonsense these days (Casey, see the reaction to your Flickr images... no outrage, no shock, no endless clamoring about your trip). Why? Because LossMIT, Dawg, R-Boy and on occassion Duane have dropped hints about the real story. So the Casey confidence is running high, he's thrilled to think that he's rubbing his trip in all the haterz faces....

So LossMIT gets through and drops the bomb that there is legal action pending this coming week against our hero. Hmmm... all of the sudden all the "organic" "itsallgood" dried up... it was the "oh shit" moment I had been hoping for.

Casey just cant quite figure why people just won't let him alone to tinker around with all the sweet scams he's learned on his world tour. He's just trying to help people after all.

Annie calls in, hammars him about his past begathon... Casey starts to regroup... why not, he's used to manipulating women apparently... "old news" "ok i get it you dont believe me"... the one thing missing from that exchange was Annie didn't get to the point that he went to more fucking NRU classes.

Then Casey gets to talk to Michelle, who's got quite the deep voice. That was the first burst out laughing moment. A silly little side note about getting scammed via email by some dude (Someone said it was Tav... was that confirmed? Also, maybe "Michelle" came before Annie)... One of Casey's recurring themes is that he's made a lot of mistakes, but has learned from them... that combined with "i really need to not trust people so quickly" was what made me laugh... so willing to believe the next shiny object someone dangles in front of him.

MOCHA! get yourself a better connection... she did make some comments about starting up an anti LossMIT site and advertising on Casey's blog. Good luck with that, why you'd fuck with LossMIT is beyond me. Mocha, I understand you're digging the role of supporter. But LossMIT is totally in the right here. Regardless of what his motivation for helping Casey was, he burned LossMIT in the deal. From what it sounds like, LossMIT is involved in REAL business, not this fake shit Casey likes to call business. Maybe Casey's approach to business can work in these fringe/shady industries, but LossMIT dealt with the lenders on Casey's behalf and by doing so put his rep at risk. He's got all the rights in the world to go after Casey hard. You can't just walk away from your actions in the real world, that's Casey's problem. Mocha, you're a funny chick, but you need to really consider that.

Casey tried to regroup, half-heartedly throwing out some buzz words with the few supporters...

Duane then calls in, briefly. He's apparently working with the family on some level to really help them figure this out. I believe him when he says the family reached out to him for the help. Before Casey disconnected him he alluded to a family meeting that has taken place. Casey ended that and mumbled something about how he really, really should post something about Duane some day... He'll never do that either, because Casey's world depends on each person involved in something shady not being able to talk about it because they both know the lowdown... Casey's big mistake was getting involved with people who don't do business in the shadows.

Mixed calls for the rest of the night, Casey was beaten down... good callers at the end who asked some pointed questions that Casey just didn't have the energy for his normal game, just sat there silently before coming up with lame questions to deflect.

Poor chap didn't even have the energy to properly end the Fraudcast. A couple minutes of typing went on...

Casey, you really need to end this now. You aren't going to be able to shrink back into the shadows and try to find the next big thing... Shut down the blog, come home, face the consequences and get a 30k a year job and forget this happened. Someday, with experience you might be able to pull off an actual deal. Right now you have very little real knowledge, seemlingly no real marketable skills and no experience to merit a free ride.

Your time is just about up.

The other point that hit me during the listen is the character that Casey, after some fantastic opportunities presented themselves, teamed up with (I guess these probably aren't the "big name" clients Marty was referring to... but I will have to check out lapdancevip.com when i get home, sounds very educational).

What the fuck is an "info product" anyways.

My guess would be that Casey signed some horrible deal with Mr. AdNonSense, i'm sure he's agreed to get a percentage of the net profits of this joint venture.

In the "Publisher" Post on IAFF, Marty alludes to how this deal could possibly turn Casey into a Millionaire... well, actually he says Millionaire status (which I would argue Casey has the way the boy spends borrowed money). Let's assume that Marty absolutely wouldn't try to hide sales and profits from Casey in this venture. I'll keep the math simple, because i'm stupid and have zero business sense.

Casey gets 50% of all profits from the sales of various "info products." Let's assume these "info products" sell for $50. Cost to produce said products are $25. So for each "info product" sold, our hero gets $12.50. I don't really know taxes well, but let's say Casey has to pay about 30% in taxes for each of his "info product" sales. So for each "info product" sale, Casey would get about $8.75.

First Casey needs to cover that $500k in remaining debt because he's very ethical and wants to do the right thing, whatever that is. At $8.75 a pop, Casey just needs to sell a little over 57,000 units to cover that initial debt.

Now that all those dirty pennies are repaid, Casey can now aim for Millionaire Status...

That means an additional 115,000 units to sell.

So Casey needs an audience of 170,000+ to achieve his dream.

This seems very plausible to me, considering Casey's current audience is a few thousand at best and any research on Casey Serin will prove that he learned next to nothing, not shy about admitting his mistakes are really fraud and has a history of chasing small-time scams.

Real Estate as "investment" will soon get back to the way it should be, actual "flippers" who do actual rehab on a house, not small time wannabes who think ordering some granite and painting the walls increases value 50k over what they spend. Gurus will be back on late night tv pitching their own "info products" and Casey will still be trying to figure out what the right thing is.

If the past couple days haven't been entertaining enough, I wake to find the CNet article/audio (or the ZDNet article here) for my day's entertainment. Just when you think this can't get more absurd, it does.

I was drinking my coffee just about the time Casey chimes in with his ("publisher" fed) rap about DMCA, copyrighted material, how trust has been violated, blah blah blah. Aside from some of the posts from the more comic-minded Haterz, this interview seriously caused me to laugh out loud, I didn't dribble the coffee at least.

Casey's new angle about how his trust has been violated, personal emails, etc. is such a non-starter. Didn't Casey think it was the right thing to do when he outed the deal with the NLL? I guess something's changed since then, he demands consequences!

Never mind he played just about every person who offered legit help (in return for Casey having to actually do something) against each other for the next sweet deal.

The long-term question is should Casey be facing criminal and/or civil charges for his actions (I think there will be a form of civil action against him if the divorce rumors are true, which will be wonderful as a divorce attorney will probably all out to expose Casey's activities under oath of some sort). IF there ever is to be action against our hero, it probably should/will happen soon I would imagine.

Up until now, Casey has just been comic relief in the whole housing bubble situation, but the Haterz and others have tried to point out why Casey really represents something bigger than his own situation. With Casey abruptly leaving the country, apparently able to just plod along following his pipe dreams, I would think this now represents someone who is a risk to flee if some action is coming.

Companies like Countrywide, and whoever else Casey touched in his spectacular failures, really should take notice of this situation and regard it seriously. Foreclosures are about to explode over the next 12-24 months, many many more instances of fraud and people who were far worst than Casey are going to be exposed as the sub-prime loans reset en masse. There will be many more people like Casey Serin who caused this bubble and with the small amount of infamy Casey is receiving, like it or not he's going to be representative of how an industry reacts to what occurred over the past 4 years. It will be interesting to see if this "trip" speeds up whatever might have been in the works up until now.

While much of the speculation over at EN as to why Casey made this odd trip is entertaining, my feeling is that Casey, being who he is, decided months ago his marriage was holding him back from this success and was looking for a way to force Galina to actually break things off. I don't know if all the buzz about Galina talking to divorce lawyers is true, I hope it is, the girl needs to get out of this show because it ain't ending all that well.

Anyways, Casey is a monumental pussy and keeps pulling shit like this because he's not a real man and can't end it to her face. What a slug move, box your wife into a corner and then act like you were betrayed.

Some more things in no particular order:

Marty Stewart, man of action, jumping into action to attempt to erase his persona from the Internets. Why would someone delete so many sites if they were legit businessman? From all appearances, after burning so many legit opportunities, Casey signs on with someone who at best appears to be a guru on gaming Adsense and at worst someone who sells info on clickfraud. Well played once again Casey!
Maybe it's just me, but one disturbing recurring theme is once burned by Casey (or semi-burned in Nigel's case?) Why does everyone feel the need to say how intelligent Casey really is. I'm sorry, but being personable and manipulative is what I see which isn't the same thing.
I would love to hear the background on how Casey got played on Goldspring.
Calling yourself a businessman/entrepreneur doesn't make it so, no matter how many times you say/type it.
The core group of Haterz is a pretty interesting bunch, I think i'm at best on the fringes with Flailing who mostly prefers to crack jokes from the sidelines, but there are some other really fascinating folks who either take the detective stuff to amazing ends and those who are so compassionate to Galina. Casey's saga is all about the audience, not the subject.

Back From The Future

The future doesn't look very promising for our hero. The book fizzled out, after an unsecured "advance" of $5k (loaned against future sales and a nominal 32% interest rate) Casey woke up to find the highlights had indeed begun to take a toll on his hair.

Faced with another decade of uphill financial battles, the sweet deals just never came. No longer able to afford the luxury murses and pdas, Casey found many bargains in the local thrift stores.

After the 104th marriage contact (executable upon delivery of the third child). Casey and Galina Serin renewed their vows on July 4th, 2017. It was a lovely ceremony before their house was towed away.

Well, the good news about Casey being back is that more photoshop inspiration is just around the corner... the best line of the post is:

Casey, victim of blog rape, is forced to put his blog back up due to the "contract" with the Publisher. As it's been pointed out in various comment, I think we can now safely assume that this isn't a major publisher.

My guess is that the "publisher" is nothing more than another one of these idiot gurus Casey seems to lust after more than his wife. Maybe it's that advertiser who pulled a Casey and wrote a book. I agree with what some folks have said about having this NDA with a publisher... this makes no sense for something that isn't guru related. These gurus seem to love this NDA shit and threatening law suits.

Onto the book, can someone tell me what this is going to be about? The Casey saga is only interesting because of the Haterz, some of whom have done some serious investigation of details. The interesting Casey story is already online, for free and is more truthful than something Casey would try to concoct on his own (see the letter to his friends trying to scam them into saving his ass) .

Casey sure is addicted to the attention isn't he. Giving up a promise to wife, family and friends for a book that won't sell. Well done sir!

Since contracts are fluid, I think Casey bringing the site back up frees me up from my promise to back off of Galina. She's either rooting for this book thing or just a total spineless wench who let's her man walk all over her and her family. So what could a little photoshop fun hurt the poor girl?

So I finally listened to the first half of last night's fraudcast. In an effort to cleanse your minds of the image below, we'll take a quick look at Nigel's call. Much like his Blog Empire, Nigel really says a lot of nothing, even in RL apparently.

The Is-It-All-Good-Off was a bit funny, but Nigel is that one guy at every party you go to who spends most time in the kitchen nursing his Smirnoff Ice, keeping his pleather coat on regardless that it's ninety degrees, that you hope you can pretty much avoid talking to all night. Right? He's the guy who's a friend-of-a-friend who has to get into party debates with everyone to prove his smarts. You inevitably end up just walking away mid-conversation asking "Who is that guy"... which is usally followed up with an apology from the dude who brought him "sorry, he just showed up" is the typical response.

In case you missed this week's fraudcast, Casey's brother called in and made a pretty passionate plea for Casey to change his actions and situation. He basically called Casey out as embarrassing the family, failing his wife and having no backing from his dad or either of his brothers.

Casey, in true psychopath form had zero emotions or reactions to a family member calling in with such a plea. In a pretty telling moment, he even tried to put his bro on hold.

This guy is a complete fucker who cares about noone but himself. I won't make any more jokes about Galina, whether she's complict in this or not, I think it's the fair thing to do .

Casey needs some professional help for sure, but not regarding finances, but regarding his humanity. He's ruined his life, not that anyone really cares at this point, but he's brought some folks that sound nice down with him.

Character Background and What's Left?

As Casey becomes more boring as he tries to become this great "irritainer/internet beggar" and the saga begins to lose our attention, I do have a couple of questions for the pieces that are still interesting to me.

Can someone provide a link or background to who MBA Tim is/was? It's been mentioned a few times but i've never been able to find anything specific as to what he said/did here.

Same with Homey DA Clown... his cryptic comments on Aygg Sooper Nation are always very interesting... what, if anything do we know about him? I hope his comments turn into something as interesting as what I think most of us are thinking...

Duane's story is still good in my opinion, I suspect many of the Haterz just feel more right about what they've said all along. It's just funny to see Casey truly fuck up a great opportunity and imagine how many more there were in the past 6 months just like this.

Regression Toward the Mean

I have a friend in the building where I work that I sometimes run into while taking a break on the roof. A nice guy, works in Investment, recently moved to the area.

At some point we started chatting about housing and he let me know that he too was a renter. Why I asked? He proceeded to basically rattle off a number of things that sounded suspiciously like what the Realtors are now calling "negative press."

In all of this, he mentioned he's renting now because things will eventually revert back to the norms so there's no point buying right now. Before I phased out, he tried to teach me some deeper economic things, but I got distracted by some pigeons or something.

Anyways, I think his point was that over time things will almost certainly revert back to form over time, they go up they come back down.

Casey's finally reverting back to his historical mean. We've found out over the past few months Casey's fondness for various pyramid schemes, scams and other get-rich-quick efforts. But a couple years ago, Casey took all his money to Vegas and sat down at the 100/200 NL table. Turns out he was a GF and has been spanked. Facing foreclosure...blah blah blah... we got some interesting, unintentional nuggets from him in his posts, he got some sweet media...blah blah...

Now that the story is over and Casey's blown the true opportunities that might have come his way, this is what's left of the train wreck? Begging... err, I mean asking for sponsorships and nickle and dime freelance work? I don't doubt that Casey blew off some real opportunities the last few months, but his penchant for postponement has left him here. Hoping to make a few hundred a week. WELL PLAYED! Any bets as to if the Cnet/MSN stuff is the last article we see about our young friend?

Consequences, LeWaterGate and Shades of Grey

Wow, that was a pretty telling flopcast last night. Duane's appearance recalled the old days when Bob Hope would do a walk-on during Johnny Carson's show... ok, maybe not. But there are some pretty interesting things to think about as Casey continues to troll with his latest strategy of a week-by-week cliffhanger.

First, as I posted earlier, it was stunning to hear the monotone way young Casey would adopt when talking about his loving wife. "She's a good person, smart....beep." Compared to Mr. LeGate and other callers it was very striking the complete lack of passion the boy had towards his wife. Duane has posted his tale and during the call you could really believe the value this guy puts on his home and family life.

Second, there was an interesting exchange with one of the callers about Casey's sponsors, one being a payday loan outfit. During this brief exchange, Casey showed at least glimpses of emotion probably because it is his dear sponsor. Legally I suppose payday loans can exist (although it seems like their getting more scrutiny lately, but I really don't know that much about that), but I don't think most people view this type of service as particularly beneficially to society, it's a totally predatory industry. Personally, I think it's pretty pretty unethical and bad karma to operate something like this.

During that exchange the caller seemed to try to question how a sponsor like that fits into Casey's "dream" of helping people with foreclosure. Playing devil's advocate, you could imagine some responses like "sometimes people are backed into a corner and have nowhere else to turn to, family and friends can't help them out and if they're able to pay before the terms inflate it could bail some people out... blah blah blah"... Casey's response was something like "if someone wants a loan you don't think they should get a loan?" The child completely missed any moral implications to that, so much for being a good Christian.

This brings me back to something Duane said repeatedly especially during the exhange where Duane and Casey were talking about another chance Duane offered Casey. "Casey, I deal in black & white you deal in many shades of grey" or something like that. I totally disagree with Duane on this point, there is no black or white or many shades of grey for Casey. His life, morals and ethics (are they different?) is one big blah shade of grey. There are is no right or wrong in his life, things are just there.

I'm sure many people have made this point before so i'm not trying to pull a Nigel here, but what went off in my head listening to this is that Casey is really a Sociopath or even a Psychopath. From wikipedia once again:

It has been shown that punishment and behavior modification techniques do not improve the behavior of a psychopath. They have been regularly observed to respond to both by becoming more cunning and hiding their behavior better.

Now our boy hasn't threatened suicide as far as we know... oops, I suppose we've been threatened by the death of the Internet's Most Hated Blogger unless we do some leg work and figure out how to get Casey $1000 a week.

Duane was spot on with his rationale to "out' Casey. I think he's really trying a bit of "tough love" with the young fliptard. The problem is, if Casey is as disturbed as he might actually be, he won't feel anything.

Nigel's Cold Shoulder

Pinz isn't gone, he's just ignoring us. Peeking in at the SLC blog we see Nigel's back and with a vengenance! In an abbreviated (312 words) post he now tells us CONDOS might be the thing we're all looking for. After all, Salt Lake City is running out of land!

First time home buyers often fear the repair and maintenance obligations a home brings. There are constant chores like cleaning out the gutters, raking leaves, mowing the lawn and shovelling snow. A condo or townhouse offers the financial benefits of ownership, plus the pride of ownership without many of these maintenance chores.

Plus those great condo fees! It's like owning a home and renting at the same time!

Owning your first home can be intimidating and exciting. By choosing condo living for the first home you can get a chance to see what it's like without the hassles of routine maintenance.

Hmmm... the maintenance theme once again... I never realized how much mowing the lawn really does get in the way of my life. He might be on to something here.

You're right! While technically my condo fees are a financial commitment, they are different than a house with actual property. Now these upkeep commitments, i'm guessing they are the same as those dreadful routine maintenance tasks. I'm still listening...

Sure, the condo owner is responsible for picking up inside the unit and the minor plumbing and electrical problems that are bound to occur, but those tend to be one time shots and can often be repaired cheaply by the budding do-it-yourselfer or a quick call to the local handy-person.

What the fuck? You just told me i'd be free of routine and life-ruining maintenance here. When I rent and my tub clogs my landlord takes care of that and keeps the grounds nice. What gives?!

Way to go Nigel, in a failing housing market push the worst type of property you can...the one that depreciates the fastest and has additional monthly fees subject to change, to assure that you "never own" the place.

Ok, well it's not 18 comments, but it's hard making Watergate comparisons.

I've posted about 3-4 comments politely asking for Casey's response on Duane opening up over at EN, some with links to EN some with just the abbreviation.

While all my other comments remain, the questions about Mr. LeGate just keep disappearing.

Wonder what Tricky Casey is afraid of? He was being oh-so-honest on the blog lately too.

I've occassionally thought who will be the first to go? Casey or Nigel? Although Casey doesn't really seem to have those IT skills he boasted once paid him a cool $30k (or was that $50k) long ago, I really think Nigel will be the first one to mysteriously disappear.

Casey is a small-time scammer who got spanked at the higher-stakes table. Back to Amway and bird-dogging future failures. He can probably eek out another half year living on a few hundred bucks a month the ads will bring him. His big win in life was selling a condo his parents helped him buy (right?). Whoa, a mogul in the making. Everything from that point on has been failure. So he'll draft up his pamphlet and maybe scrape in a another few hundred.

Now Nigel, who's always been a more interesting character to me, is in for a more rapid descent here. Timed entry into the housing bubble pretty well, probably made some nice money in a short amount of time. But Nigel wants more. Aspiring web journalist, wanna be entrepreneur, failed partner of Casey. Nigel does seem to think he's superior in most ways to most people. Regardless of how many people point out the flaws in his economic arguments, etc. etc. Nigel is unaffected. He's taking link-whoring and free blog-site entrepreneurship to the extreme.

The mortgage, and all of housing, business is undergoing changes that will be around for years. When the .com bubble burst, sure there were some people telling you to buy, buy, buy the NASDAQ at 3500, 3000, 2500... same with Nigel, keep pitching for that falling knife.

There are serious affordability issues in the housing market and the jobs that were created (like in the .com bubble) are going away. Soon that pressure and reality will catch up with Nigel and when it does, I predict he will finally push that delete key.

So what's the predictions? I'm asking my loyal viewer (that's right Akubi, i mean you). I think Nigel delete's himself sometime around August. Though what Mr. LeGate reveals has to be causing Nigel the tremors, so it coud happen much quicker, but i'll stick with August. Casey will keep trying for sweet media for much longer.

To be honest, I don't really know who Duane is. I guess this whole thing happened before I found the Cult of Casey. If someone could post the background of this story here, I'm still trying to patch it together from EN, it would be appreciated.

I am however really looking forward to a timeline of events backed up with the email exchanges. What are you hoping for? Me, I already am fixed in my thinking of what Casey is (*cough* scammer *cough* will be facing charges before 2008 *cough*) but what my hopes are is that Nigel's little desperate attempts of glomming onto this whole mess is particularly embarrassing.

His post over at DHC is particularly hostile for Nigel who usually tries to write like he's "above all of us" with his condescending nature. Maybe its a precursor of what embarrassing nuggets he might be having to deal with shortly.

Our boy Casey has just about run out of moves as the end approaches. As the cnet article pointed out,

Serin seems to enjoy spacing them out in a way that will vex his readers the most. “What happens is I feed off of it,” he said. “I know the buttons to press to get those guys going. After awhile, you learn what topics you can mention if you want to get extra comments on your post.”

I wonder if Casey really does think he's outwitted everyone at every step along the way. Before January or so, Casey was a lovable train-wreck, he couldn't help but shoot himself in the foot. As the houses were foreclosed there seemed like little left here, Casey stopped telling the truth, he wasn't honest with the audience and we just started entertaining ourselves. Some of us by just reminding everyone what a scammer Casey is.

Now there's no more houses, no more money, no more hope. So we get these really sad troll posts with nuggets like todays:

Well, you take about a week off from the soap opera and come back to find not much has changed. The train is still chuggling along on it's inevitable course with destiny and I get the sense that like me, people care less and less.

Casey chimes in a stupid troll post about what poor, dear little Galina thinks of him. What surprises me about this, maybe it's from a bit of a break, is the amount of sympathy Galina still receives from the audience.

We know Casey is bound for more failure, once a scammer always a scammer, but there's still some sympathy (now i didn't read through all the comments this time as my attention span grows shorter with this one.)

I think if there's hate left in this story it's for Trampolina. Casey is a buffoon, he's trying to hold out and make some money on the remnants of the fame that this situation has brought him. A pretty little girl like her could get a decent paying job as a receptionist, get some skills and have some opportunities open up for her. Oh yeah, she's in her 7th year of 2 year AA degree, don't think she'll get up off her ass to pull a 9-5'er. Which is good for Casey, as I learned with my sister who didn't have much focus, she just did the receptionist thing got to office manager and found a salesman who frequented the office to marry her. Good thing she's cut from the same lazy cloth as Casey.

Earlier, Casey mentions about how he's "learning" about arbitrage and how much sense it makes to him on his road to passive income.

Lately I’ve been learning about arbitrage and how I can take advantage of it / apply it as an individual investor.

For example…. say I borrow 100K at 12% interest and reinvest it at 36%. That’s a sweet 2% monthly spread! So on a 100K I’d be making $2,000/month. Do that with half a million and you’re making $10,000 per month. Enough to retire on.

Oh this is just too absurd to even warrant a response.

I really enjoyed the ABC show Lost the first season. It was different, mysterious and had one of the hottest chicks on tv. Well, as the ratings falter the fans are frustrated because they realize the show really can't go anywhere and where it does will be disappointing. Nothing big is going to be revealed on the show as in Casey's saga. He's desperately holding out hope for something big to really present itself to him, but he's about 4 months too late to save himself with an easy out.

Casey might still end up facing charges or civil suits, both of which I wouldn't shed a tear about, but months from now, I suspect none of us will be here to see the end game.

Using the excellent new Nigel Swaby Word-O-Meter found at Foreclosure Avoiders Ruined My Life, we find that Nigel uses an astounding 913 words (not including title) to basically say very little.

It was one of Nigel's most boring reads ever without any real substance (I was shocked too). Apparently Nigel has been spanked so much on his lack of Economic knowledge that he's going to try to just through random "math-like" content in his posts in the hopes that someone will think there's substance there.

After reading the post that Nigel cited, I can sum it up I think in 2 bullet points:

You're an idiot if you don't read/research what you're about to sign
Don't trust mortgage brokers

I don't really think Casey believes he has credibility in this world, some call him separated from reality, but I don't agree. So his last avenue, the get-rich-quick "real estate with no money down" can't use him as an avenue for exposure....well, since he admitted spending 30k and failing miserably, so where else can he turn in this last gasp? Casey, I know you're a web designer/developer/aspiring web journalist (oops), but you fail to miss why blogs and social media work, its for some raw honesty, opinions and entertainment. The audience is as much a reason for any blog's success as the author, but as soon as you try to "monetize it" beyond ads, you're cooked. Can you imagine what would happen if Kos all of the sudden "endorsing" a candidate who paid him off? You get traffic because of your audience Casey. Since you stopped trying to be honest months ago, you don't really have many outs left other than the banner ads.

Economic Dart Theory 101

At the heart of the housing crash debate is whether jobs will remain readily available. Housing bears argue much of America relies on construction and housing related jobs that when that industry goes crashing down, the rest of the economy will follow.

Ummm, I stumbled into the world of Serin starting at the sites that really matter to me in the housing bubble scenario, sites like The Housing Bubble Blog, patrick.net, Immobilienblasen and others.

Now, on those sites there are some extreme bears, predicting another depression, etc. But there are also some very smart, insightful folks who clearly know a lot more about Economics than I do. Unless the drugs of my youth did a lot more damage than I thought, I don't recall the arguments of jobs as the linchpin for Real Estate. I think they are more often referred to as an indicator (lagging?) of the overall health of the economy. I believe some have referred to jobs in construction as an indicator of what's to come in housing.

Nigel seems to be once again inventing his own theories of economics? Maybe i'm wrong, but most of the posts/comments I see on the bearish sites revolve around the lack of affordability in housing in relation to average wages. Most people tend to cite things like historical norms of prices to income rations and all that stuff that requires charts with points and stuff.

In the face of a cooling housing market, the fact wages are rising and jobs are plentiful doesn't make me worry about a housing crash. In fact, temporarily lower housing prices will create a positive mindset for families who want to own a home more than ever.

Hate to tell you Swabby, you should be worried, unless you're really already out of the Broker business. The past few years consisted of fliptards like Casey artificially running up home prices to unsustainable prices. Something like 25-40% of sales were to investors/speculators in that time period... that is unless tons of people all of the sudden bought vacation homes. The buyers weren't even real, now many people who got caught in the hysteria are facing steep ARM resets over the next couple years.

Before that, the Fed stopped house prices from starting to correct with all the interest rate drops.

I know you really don't believe that "temporary drop" mess, it was a bubble and maybe in a year or two it will be time to start looking, but can the glut of mortgage brokers and realtors survive that long? I doubt it.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- A real estate investment scheme that has left many Elk Grove homes in foreclosure is now contributing to falling property values in the area, a KCRA 3 investigation has found.

KCRA 3 earlier this week uncovered that a group of loan officers and mortgage brokers lied on loan applications to qualify investors for a total for more than $9 million in loans that the investors could not afford.

The investigation exposed how Jim Martin and his business partners at VFM Investment Group falsified loan applications and listed investors as employees of the company in an attempt to defraud lenders out of millions of dollars.

Well, hopefully this attention will get the "authorities" to crack down on scam artists like this and Casey.

Hell, this makes Casey the king fliptard, it took a crew of many to get 9 million in fradulent loans, it took just one Casey Serin to get 2.2.

So what's left? Thinking people would sign up for the honor of real-time commenting on a blog? I think you've totally missed the point of the social web. Good luck with that kid. I think we'll hear the final gasp at a hare-brained scheme with some sketchy company and it'll just die a slow death from there.

I think I might just archive-post all of Casey's know scams, not that it hasn't been done before, but the more this guy's name is associated with scams the better off the world will be. Someone at the Milk This Bubble As Long As We Can must have finally sent Nigel the latest Talking Points memo. In this latest post, Nigel dumbtificates about FHA loans and their "problems."

A couple of paraphrased gems from the Master of the Obvious. First we must wade through the typical Nigel fluff pulled directly from Boringapedia. So after the first few paragraphs where Nigel changes a few words of a generic description he goes into the "problems."

However, these liberal guidelines come with a price and with FHA, it's called mortgage insurance. MI protects the lender to 20% should a borrower default on their loan.

Yeah, heaven forbid there are things in place if a borrower isn't responsible enough to save a large downpayment or might be a credit risk.

The second problem with FHA loans involves the approval process and documentation. One qualifies for FHA mortgages much like a conventional loan which requires two years on the job (or in the same field), tax returns and financial reserves. There are no stated income FHA loans and no interest only either.

Yes, ALL THESE THINGS SOUND HORRIBLE. The last thing we need is more qualified borrowers in the housing market, these people might actually want to negotiate and junk like that. This statement reinforces my belief on the quality of mortgages the Swabtard might have been involved with.

FHA mortgage products are a welcome part of the home financing opportunity and should be looked at closely before entertaining other types of non-conventional financing.

Hmmmm... it almost sounds like we're now dismissing these FHA loans and still thinking about, you know, possibly pushing more junk 100% loans. All in all, it's a pretty typical bland post from Nigel... but I did recall a previous Nigel mention about FHA loans...

Fortunately, the FHA has an awesome ARM which goes both ways and it can only adjust once a year and has a reasonable cap rate.

I do get the sense that Nigel, in his own way, is trying to finally detach himself from the Casey drama, but in my mind he and Casey are still representative samples of what went wrong in Real Estate in the past 5 or so years.

Nigel Swaby, the Axe-Man, takes a break from cutting deals with Casey Serin, building new businesses (on free blog sites), partying with bobsled teams. The blogcation has really paid off and Nigel is ready to dive into some deep economic commentary... uh, bolsterd by a syndicated horoscope column.

Master of the obvious, who brought us such great insight as "My point is this is mostly algae caused by the sun," is at it again this time trying to tackle Haterz, housing bears and people with some actual insight on economics.

I believe Wall Street is beginning to wise up to the screamingly negative headlines too. Yesterday was a great example. Early in the morning, March GDP numbers were released. While there was growth, the numbers didn't hit estimates. After reaching a new record Thursday, the stock market had barely budged.

Dow 13k certainly is a pretty number, but while it's a nice psychological barrier you need to keep in mind that increasingly what is good on Wall Street isn't good for Main Street. The weak dollar affects both worlds very differently. A weaker dollar helps companies be more competitive in the global marketplace, I read somewhere that most companies that have reported earnings recently (something like 70-80%) said that the current currency situation has been beneficial to the bottom line. Good for them. But in other deeper analysis we also learn that there is some serious inflation going on in parts of our economy. Gas, milk isn't getting cheaper. What someone could buy for $1500 in 2000 is costs over $1700 now.

Finally, as the Dow continues to grow, keep in mind the percentage growth to cross these psychological growth gets to be less as it grows.

Full disclosure, unlike Nigel, I know i'm an idiot. So if any of this is off, post it in a comment, maybe i'm totally off mark here as well. I am not a doom and gloomer, I don't have a closet full of gold anywhere, I have a nice 401k and hope it doesn't disappear. I don't want another Great Depression. I am indeed a (temporary?) housing bear, I wanted to buy a house this year but when I started researching on what that really involves (yeah I know, it's silly to educate yourself before diving headfirst into something, right Casey?). I was a bit stunned how "values" in an already expensive area had grown almost 100% in about 5 years. I make a nice living and should be able to buy something decent, but what is now in my range historically are what I consider dumps. Thankfully my rental house costs me about 1/2 to almost a 1/3 of what houses in my neighborhood would cost via mortgages. So I will continue to wait.

What I know is the past few years of "wealth growth" in this country was nothing more than what is a part of Casey's story, borrowing in order to get what you want today. Through sketchy mortgages and HELOCS, I think the consumer has shot it's credit wad for the foreseeable future.

Casey, most of us hard-working Americans who put in our 9-5, or more, sometimes have to deal with 30 voice mail messages and other grueling tasks like answering e-mails and opening those possibly Anthrax-laden pieces of mail (hey, have to justify what's tough about opening the f'ing mail don't you, at least try something more creative).

At the same time there are many good opportunities on the horizon, including a possible job, but nothing is certain right now and everything takes longer then you think.

Most people who have even a modest amount of success or stability in their life KNOW things take longer than we all would want, you are seriously one stupid fuck for trying to pass yourself off as insightful.

Casey, there aren't any REAL opportunities coming your way. This will be echoed over and over to you. At this point in your life you need to give up your aspirations of get-rich-quick and try to salvage the next 10 years of your life by getting off your scamming ass and get a job, whatever it is.

Real business people, investors and other smart folks who make real money do their legwork and actually look into the history of the people they do business with. The sweet opportunities you've tried the past few months are nothing more than bottom-feeding scammers like yourself. Real-estate gurus, wanna be fix-n-flippers do nothing but feed off each other. Until the past 7 or so years, that's been relatively small, dumb community. The floodgates were open, just like in the .com days, and everyone had access to money. Fundamentally nothing changed to justify the housing bubble you were the last person to enter (you know, the guy who was left standing when the music stopped).

Your name, reputation and possibilities are beyond tarnished and will live on indefinitely on the internet. Remember your stupid-ass attempt at mail fraud ( $$FAST-N-EASEY CASH$$ NO risk, NOT a scam!!)? That's still around for everyone who does a check on you to see. You have had your 15 minutes of fame being featured on the tv and articles, but that's your downfall in this get rich quick mentality you can't seem to get over. Once googled, your true self is going to be presented to them. 30 minutes later you are no longer the "victim" in anyone's mind, your history can't be rewritten.

Right now you have two choices: Monetize Trampolinia in the last few moments of your time together. Many people would pay $39 to watch her version of the Dancing Money Show on the Trampoline. But she's gonna be gone soon, someone who takes 6 years+ to not ever get a 2-year degree doesn't really seem like a self-starter to begin with. Second choice? Shut down that blog, delete everything about it and your "opportunities" and try to rebuild something that resembles a life in the next 10 years.

These are going to be people in various stages of foreclosure or pre-foreclosure. I expect the areas will be mostly urban, San Jose, Sacramento, Bay Area.

Guess you are starting to get a reputation... just not the one you thought it would be. Again, I don't feel bad or sad for this guy either. If you think Nigel is a do-gooder who's trying to graciously help someone out or stick up for the underdog, think again.

I'll just keep pointing out the fact that this guy took a business meeting with Casey and was just moments away from turning Foreclosure Avoiders into a two-man flop.

Nigel, you need to learn that business, marketing and success consists of more than just coming up with a really dumb name, creating a blog and hyperlinking yourself into good rankings. Foreclosure Referrals isn't a business plan, it's just bottom-feeding and trying to milk one more penny out of this housing bubble mess.

The sooner you and your kind are out of the business the sooner the industry reverts back to historical norms.

If you've been a ready of Casey's for months and hate yourself for the dirty feeling you get after returning to the site again and again...

Take a moment to go read this kid's blog. He has an interesting story of a 20-something who got into the high-stakes game of currency trading (at least I think it was currency trading) and proceeded to leverage himself deeper and deeper into the abyss. It seems he also traded away over 100k of his mother's money. He's about to go live in his office after he short sells his house, but he's trying to make amends with the people around him and with himself.

Now at 300k worth of debt, he's no Casey, but take some time to give him some props. If you found Casey Serin's story and hoped for a story that would maybe help you or just be an honest story from a guy who made mistakes. I really appreciate what this kid is trying to do and the road he chose to take on his way back from his problems. Let's just say he and Casey aren't walking on the same path.

I bet Nigel the Link Whore shows up there one of these days as people discover his story.
